Delta State Government Acknowledges DOPF Support, Says Executive Assistant

ASABA/Nigeria: In a gracious acknowledgment of the unwavering support and cooperation received from online publishers in Delta State, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Mr. Felix Ofou, has conveyed his appreciation during a meeting with a delegation from the Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF).
Ofou praised the consistent efforts of DOPF members, who have selflessly covered government activities over the years, even during challenging times.
He underscored the pivotal role played by online news platforms in the realm of new media, highlighting the Forum’s commitment to responsible journalism without resorting to sensationalism.

Recognizing the value of maintaining open communication, the Executive Assistant urged the publishers to liaise with his office to clarify any issues before publishing. He assured them of their continued inclusion in the initiatives of the Oborevwori administration.

Earlier in his address, the Chairman of DOPF, Emmanuel Enebeli extended congratulations to Mr. Ofou on his appointment, foreseeing a positive impact on the state’s New Media landscape.
Mr. Enebeli commended the Oborevwori administration for its infrastructure development efforts in areas such as Warri, Effurun, and their environs. He urged the Governor to prioritize the improvement of the Agbor-Umutu-Obiaruku-Abraka road to enhance economic activities in the state.
Emphasizing the sacrifices made by DOPF members in providing daily government reports, Mr. Enebeli appealed for enhanced cooperation from the Executive Assistant to better recognize their contributions.
